Bokujoy

We are all given a gift and we owe it to ourselves & the world to “share and play nice”. We are only here for a short while, it should be an enjoyable experience. It should be filled with love & dreams that come true. It should be based on the reality that we make for ourselves, not one that is created for us. We should smile BIG and as often as possible. Our hearts should be filled with emotions we are not afraid to express through words, art, song or simple moments of silence. We should dance & sing...and do so in the rain at least once. We should laugh uncontrollably every chance we get. Life is more of a journey than a destination, so be mindful of your tires and enjoy the ride!
About Bokujoy
A play on the French word Beaucoup meaning “more”...Bokujoy simply translates as more joy...and a means for me to share my joys with the world. The first product line of Bokujoy is Beauty & The Bath which was started 15 years ago. It was a very small division that was basically serving the “soap” needs of my family and a few close friends... “my tribe” as I have come to know them. It didn’t become a “real” company until I found myself a single mom(again), after leaving my husband who chose drugs over himself, me and his beautiful stepson who at the time was only five. I remember his words very clearly the day I asked him to leave “You can’t survive in California without my income”...my words rang more clear “Just watch me!” It was the beginning of the month when that happened and having no money to pay my mortgage, I set out with a few tubs of soap and my son and sold at every craft show and home show I could find. Much to my amazement, and God’s amazing grace, at the end of the month I had enough money to pay the mortgage and buy more soap supplies! I cried tears of gratitude and I never looked back.
Always wanting to do the very best I could for my family and my place of worship (which is my body), I wanted Beauty & the Bath to be comprised of hand crafted soaps that were not only beautiful, but natural and healthy for the body, mind and spirit. The more I learned about natural skin care the more the product line evolved. With God as CEO, I felt very accomplished in my success, the only nagging downfall of the company was that even though it was natural & healthy for your skin...some people thought the soaps were “too pretty to use”. I felt I was missing my mark so after years of being in business, I felt I needed to do more, I needed to give more...I needed to over come the hurdle of being “too pretty”. I prayed and meditated on it and through that guidance I came up with “Intentions” an all natural organic line that has been researched and based on one’s life intentions...such a peace, courage or one of my personal favorites love. The line has many components and I view them as mere tools to help you to manifest that which is already in you to do. The magic is not in the product line, it is in you. One of the beautiful things about the soap in the line is that it is wrapped in natural seed paper so when you unwrap the soap to use it, you are encouraged to plant the paper in the earth, if you nurture it, just as you do in your “life’s” intentions, it will bloom. The line launched in May of 2008 and has been and continues to be a huge success. Underneath the beautiful organic seed paper which was manufactured here in San Diego, the soaps are just as beautiful, if not more beautiful as the Beauty & the Bath line, but to my great joy...I have not heard one person say “these soaps are too pretty to use”. ahhhh an intention of my own manifested!
I am currently working on another line (or two) for you which I will say more about soon...
It is with great joy that I do my work, and I hope you enjoy using the products as much as I enjoy creating them.

enjoy your journey, and thanks for letting me be a part of your ride!
Be well, prosper & bloom
